13,000 EPI-NO Babies in Australia by 2010

By Press Release
15 September 2009

EPI-NO natural childbirth preparation is experiencing strong growth in Australia since publication of the Box Hill Hospital Study (Melbourne 2004). With the latest figures on Australian Caesarean Section rates expected to approach 40%, the growth of EPI-NO within the Natural Childbirth segment is a positive development. It is estimated that over 13,000 EPI-NO babies will have been born in Australia by the end of 2009 and that this figure will continue to grow as more mothers share their EPI-NO experience. Word-of-mouth and Obstetrician recommendation are the two main drivers of EPI-NO awareness here, however this is changing as a growing number of Midwives and Childbirth Educators join the ranks of the converted.
