25,000 EPI-NO Babies in Australia
By Press Release
30 August 2011
EPI-NO natural childbirth preparation is experiencing strong growth in Australia since publication of the Box Hill Hospital Study (Melbourne 2004). With the latest figures on Australian Caesarean Section rates expected to approach 40%, the growth of EPI-NO within the Natural Childbirth segment is a positive development. It is estimated that 25,000 EPI-NO babies will have been born in Australia by January 2012, and that this figure will continue to grow as more mothers share their EPI-NO experience. Word-of-mouth and Obstetrician/GP recommendation are the main drivers of EPI-NO awareness in Australia, however this is changing rapidly as a growing number of Midwives and Childbirth Educators introduce EPI-NO to their expectant mothers.
